PRODUCTIONS The aim of our Creatives and Photographers is to capture elements that form one of many realities, or to change them in order to create alternatives, using images as communication. We think that the commercial success of an image is proportionally linked with its ability to communicate a meaning, therefore we always create a meaningful image. LOCATIONS Sicily’s climate, which is getting more and more sub-tropical - sunny for nine months per year - is an excellent ally for Oko. Our agency will put all its still and moving productions expertise and knowledge in order to find natural, archaeological and urban locations, previously unused, within Sicily and its islands. Oko has a long experience in location scouting in Sicily, which has made us true experts of this wonderful region. Sicily hosts a melting pot of races and cultures, a population of opposing beliefs that have historically been a source of both conflicts and well-being, of mild awkwardness and outright hostility. Sicily is also a place dominated by contrasts within its landscape. Long white beaches washed by turquoise water are broken by dark and spiky rocks; icy cold brooks oppose contrast with flaming lava while pine-covered mountain peaks tower over flat and bare land. Man has also created contrasts: Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Normans, Arabs, Spanish and French have all formed cities and the character of its people. Baroque and Art Nouveau buildings provide backdrops to its streets and its noisy, colourful markets, which contrast with the ruined palaces, also a picturesque and fascinating part of Sicily.
